System Requirements

cmwforms Server

CMW is composed of two components; server and client.  The requirements for each are as follows:

CMW Server Requirements:

• Windows Server 2003
• Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) 5.0 or later
• .NET Framework 2.0
• SQL Server Express 2005.

CMW Client Requirements:

• Windows 2000 or later.
• Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0
• SQL Server Express 2005.  This is only required if you install the CMW Offline plug-in.

Both components will download and install Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 if this is not already installed.  Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 is an optional upgrade on all Windows platforms and included with Vista.

The server will download and install Microsoft SQL Server Express 2005.  This is a free version of Microsoft SQL Server 2005.

cmwforms Appliance

The requirements for installing and running the cmwforms Appliance are:

• Windows PC with 1 GH or faster processor.  This will host the CMW Forms appliance
• 2 G RAM.
• Windows Vista™ Business; Windows Vista™ Enterprise; Windows Vista™ Ultimate; Windows Server 2003, Standard Edition; Windows Server 2003, Standard x64 Edition; Windows XP Professional; Windows XP Professional x64 Edition; or Windows XP Tablet PC Edition
• Network card

The network card is needed to allow other PC user to connect to the cmwforms Appliance across the network.
