History

cmwforms was developed by CM Services Limited in 1995 and provided as a free application to CM Services Limited clients.  Since 1995 cmwforms has gone through a number of development and improvements cycles:

1995 -  Developed using MS Access and only supported Change and Defect Management.

1998 -  Ported to Visual Basic.

2000 -  Developed installer and documentation and made available as freeware.  Registered over 10,000 downloads over the next two years.

2001 -  Ported to Visual Basic .NET.

2003 -  Extended to include Test Case Management and Requirements Management.

2005 -  Ported to Visual C# and re-implemented as a Windows smart client using SQL Server 2005.

2006 -  Updated to provide generic process support and introduced significant security features to protect user data.

2007 - Developed a number of IT and business solutions.  These include Business Management, Requirement Management, Development Management, Change Management, Test Management and Service Management.

2008 -  Introduced Role Based Access Control.
